Profile

Simon specialises in the excisional treatment of endometriosis. He works with a team of specialists when endometriosis is severe and affecting other organs like the bowel and bladder. He aims where possible to perform ‘one good operation’ with thorough and precise removal of the affected tissue.

Simon performs laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic treatment of fibroids, hysteroscopic surgery and surgical treatment of ovarian cysts and fallopian tubes. An open procedure is avoided but is occasionally necessary.

Simon is a subspecialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (CREI), the highest qualification in Australia and New Zealand in this field. He aims to preserve and protect fertility in patients requiring treatment and surgery.
