Our Story & Team
Central Gynaecology is a group of specialist gynaecologists committed to providing comprehensive care to women across all age groups. Our gynaecologists work together to keep up to date and ensure all patients seen by the group have access to modern and personalised gynaecology care.
The group supports each other and our aim is that sense of teamwork is conveyed to patients, as we work with them to achieve their treatment goals. Our team carries a wide variety of expert skills and clinical knowledge. We have clinical relationships with colleagues of other specialities, meaning if we cannot help, we can find someone who can.
GYNAECOLOGIST, FERTILITY SPECIALISTChloe is a New Zealand trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who completed her specialist training in hospitals throughout New Zealand, gaining a wide range of experience in general, laparoscopic and minimally-invasive gynaecological surgery.
OBSTETRICIAN & GYNAECOLOGISTDaisy is a New Zealand trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. With a special interest in colposcopy, Daisy also sees women with general gynaecological problems.
OBSTETRICIAN & GYNAECOLOGISTLeigh is an Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility specialist. She sees patients with gynaecological and fertility problems through her private practice at Fertility Associates.
OBSTETRICIAN & GYNAECOLOGISTNick is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist providing comprehensive care for pelvic floor and menstrual disorders, with expertise in minimal access and robotic approaches for hysterectomy, endometriosis management and prolapse.

Assessment
Referrals
We provide an easy referral system and aim to offer new appointments within two weeks of referral if your condition is urgent.
We make it easy to get hold of us, and will provide an email response as soon as possible.

Our in-person consultations take place at Wakefield Hospital and we offer teleconference consultations via Zoom.

Absolutely! We have four friendly female gynaecologists who you can meet with if it helps you feel more comfortable.

While we are based in Wellington, we also offer teleconference consultations via Zoom.

This will include a thorough assessment of your concerns. We may wish is to examine you and perform an ultrasound scan. On occasion, we may require a second appointment to thoroughly evaluate your needs.

At Central Gynaecology, we will thoroughly discuss all of your options and allow you to make an informed choice. If surgery is the best option, we offer minimally invasive surgery.

Yes, it is absolutely fine to have your period at the time of consultation.

Generally speaking no. But it would be useful to bring as much information with you as possible including blood results and ultrasound reports or get your GP to forward us the relevant information.

You do not need insurance to see us. If you require surgery, we may need to refer you to your local district health board (DHB) for a further assessment. We cannot access the public surgical wait list directly. The private hospital can also provide a quote for self-funded surgery.
